"Because LOVE wounds and inflames the HEART."

Cupid in Latin Cupido means "desire". He is also known in Latin as Amore means "love". His iconography acquired the bow and arrow that represent his source of power. Who is shot by Cupid's arrow is filled with uncontrollable desire.

So who does not want that especially from someone we really like. We have our own Love Arrows to share and we won't be shooting them but giving them away and hopefully the myth and magic to desire and love HAPPENS!

Here we are making Love Arrow. Left over craft papers and sticks we had in stock. If you guys followed our wreath project last December you wold recognize the twine we used here.

After we had so much fun doing that wood burn project on the kitchen wooden utensil we had to take out our burn tool again and do it's magic over these popsicle sticks.

Time to assemble all these and make some Love Arrows!

Here we are finally shooting Love Arrows.

Oops...we are not done yet. We need a bag for these arrows just like how cupid slings it around his body.

We have got that perfect Love Arrows to share.
This project left us LOVE STRUCK as well.
Happy Valentine's Day!

We hope LOVE is in the air and we are able to inspire you to do your own creations.

Sweet Love or Love Sweets?

Chocolates. We thought we can still make that box of chocolate speak more clearly and send that message of LOVE. We don't just place that message on the box or packaging. But we place it on the chocolate bar itself!

For the food craft you will need...
1. Wilton silicon candy mold (valentine message)
2. Milk Chocolate and Dark chocolate (1 bar each of 100g or 120g)
3. microwave

First clean and dry your silicon mold. Break your chocolates into small square pieces. We like that hand crafted look of how these chocolates turned out. Spots of milk and dark chocolate swirls left to form. Place all the broken chocolate on your silicon mat. Make sure to mix them up and fill the silicon just up to the rim. Set the microwave power level to half the power and zap the chocolates in the silicon mat for 30 secs. You will notice some of the chocolates may have not melt. You can use a spatula to mix the chocolate a bit careful not to break the swirls formed by the melting chocolates. If you find some chocolates that are still hard. Put the silicon mold with the chocolates back inside the microwave and zap it for another 30 secs. We did this in 3 zaps. Note that different chocolates melt faster. Chocolate chips and candy melt melt so much faster.

To set the chocolate place the silicon mold in the fridge and let is chill for 30 mins before you un-mold the chocolates.

There you go a Message of Love molded in Chocolate Bars.

Got a thing for You

One of our crafters happen to find these mugs at a store and it was fire red inside! One can't help but think this is oh so perfect for Valentine's Day! A mug gift that will make you Awww.

If you have caught that Love bug you might enjoy making this craft.
Here is the free downloadable template of the Owl cut out .  Other materials you will need are - at least 3 to 4 different colors of card stock or paper stock. We use the combo of pink, pastel pink, brown and orange. White card stock to print the Owl Be Yours talk bubble. Some basic crafting tools, black marker, scissors and glue. Oh don't forget the set of mugs!

Check out the step by step below.  Ones you have finished assembling the Owl Be Yours card cut a slit at the bottom vertically at the Owl's belly. Insert the slip on to the rim of the mug near the mug handle. And you can't help but say AWW...THAT IS CUTE!

Who doesn't LOVE...LOVE.

The LOVE month! We all have the LOVE bug. But no point spending that cash on overprice flowers. We got our own creative bug to get us some cute unique inspirations. I think it is something everyone can relate to...

It is red, sexy and satisfying! Yup! (you can see the photo) Who does not LOVE Coke! At our craft studio everyone just need that satisfying quench from time to time and we all get a Coke. We know some of you would say and choose to say "I don't drink soda" but we know deep inside you when you were a kid you love that fizz. It is okay we know that little secret.

A simple twist and it bubbles. Ahhh... So why not give that Valentine that twist and create your own bubbles. :)

This is the easiest and cutest Valentine gift that will surely bring a smile.

Check out the simple step by step. No templates on this one. I think we've fizz up some ideas with this craft blog that it can totally be custom fit to your LOVE bug creativity.

Materials we used for this craft are...
1. White Card stock paper - cut into 1.5" x 3.5"  - you can write out your message or print it off your computer.
2. 1/8" red ribbon (satin)
3. Bow embellishment (you can check out our Oh Joy & Co eshop)
4. heart foam sticker ( you can check out our Oh Joy & Co eshop)
5. Coke bottle ( you can get the can as well but we just like the Twist cap and bottle cap Coke bottles for Valentine's Day)

7. scissors
8. Glue gun
