Spirit of Halloween Crafts

For those who have been following us on "FaceBoo!k" (FB), you may have notice our Spirit of Halloween Crafts event post but we never fully gave out the full details of the event on how to be part of it. The reason for this is - it is an event we hosted for the The Grove by Rockwell community and their relatives. (Our next workshop - we will open to the public so watch out for that!)

We had tons of fun crafting with our Trick or Treaters and let us take you to the event and let your creative imagination fly you there.
We will try our best to slowly share post on how we made some of the easy crafts here in our blog. Hopefully we do not overwhelm you with all the crafts!

Let us start by greeting you with a big loud BOO! to you. - Come on, read it out loud and say Boo! (click here to see how we made our Boo! shout-out board) That brought out a smile didn't it?! If you want to see how we made those halloween candles click on this link.
Now let us open the doors to the event!
Oh! Noooo!!! Take cover! You just disturbed a number of sleeping crafted bats! Now they are flapping their wings to fly out!
Click here to see how we did the flying bats.

Surprise!
Little Crafters who came in their craftiest and scariest costume will be winning these prizes!

Let the crafting begin...
Each table was given a different craft. What are we crafting? Candies of course! Each crafter will be crafting their halloween treats in to different critters and character which they will bring home. Each crafter needs to move from one table to the other to craft all the treats and place it in their treat buckets. Goal is to fill those with crafted candies!

Pretty intense crafting huh?! The little crafters did get a little help for our Oh Joy & Co. team as well as from their Mommies. We had our Frankenstein, Witch's finger, Bats, Spider Lollipops, Howling Ghost Pops and the Pumpkin bucket. To capture each age some crafts are easy and some are intermediate. But one thing for sure it got each kid's motor skills and creative minds working and challenged!

Mini choc-nut bats with different smiles.

Just make sure spidy has only 8 legs!

Spider comes alive with those adorable eyes. :) Click here on how we made these spider craft.

Did we have FUN?! That is what we asked all the little crafters. They crafted for an amazing 1 hour to 2 hours! Those are mighty-mighty-mighty awesome little crafters!
Check out all these treat bags all filled with their crafty halloween candies!

And as a reward for their wonderful efforts we awarded the winners.
The best in halloween costume. That little zombie crafter even had a bloody doll props!

And our best crafter also got a prize!

Hope you enjoyed going through all these photos. We were super tired but sharing the fun for crafting and opening the minds of each crafter with the creativity of turning simple things (like candies) to something fun was all worth the effort for this workshop. We will be updating this blog with links to how to make some of these easy and fun kids crafts.

If we were able to Boo! the spirits of crafting to you do share that spirit on our Face-Boo!k by liking us or follow us on Instagram #ohjoyandco.

Happy Hallooooooooweeeeeen!
