A Halloween Dinner Party

This year's Halloween fell on a weekend. Which means people had time to throw a Halloween Party! Yeepee!  Invitations came for Friday night party and quite a few for a Saturday night dinner party. And we decided to craft one out for our own in-house Halloween party. We are not going to elaborate on the introduction for this dinner party. We will let the photos speak for themselves. And the dinner party ended up to be a nice dinner date for couples. We did not craft any of the guest mask or our own mask thus you will not see any photos of mask on this blog today :( But we did do some crafts that we feel you will still get inspired with.

As for any dinner party it starts with an invitation.
We wanted each invitation sent out to have that personalized hand crafted feel. If you love to do scrap-booking you will love the customized embellishments that we made for this invitation.  A rose that is crafted out of clay and a black frame also crafted out of clay brings out that three dimensional feel to this invitation.  A dinner menu placed on each table is embellished with hand crafted victorian style photo corner holders to frame the main body of the menu card.

Since we started our Paper to Petals Workshop we have had a trademark of making these unique paper flowers. So we thought a perfect garland to hang by the door would naturally bring a statement.
And we did get a quite a bit of ooohs and aahhhs from the guest/s.

To set the tone, buffet tables where decorated with displays that link to the whole theme for this Halloween Dinner Party. We had red paper roses or flowers scattered purposely with care to match each crafted element. And you have to agree that it pop out nicely across each crafted display. You will see a peek of some of the candy crafts done from the Spirit of Halloween Crafts event. We thought it looks nice.

We crafted quite a bit of roses and garlands as we try to continue this to the center piece of the dinner tables. To give that Halloween-ish feel we had small black butterflies resting on the flowers or spiders crawling everywhere (above photo of the candy display).

The last but not the least our table setting. Mini black chandelier fallen on each plate with a clay crafted single red rose. The drama unfolds as people touch and feel the clay crafted roses. Instead of the traditional ribbon on the single step rose we crafted cut out black butterflies to look like ribbons. Guest got to take home the roses and chandelier.

A love affair dinner? A Halloween dinner? It was a night which ended up with a lot of oohs and aaahs. The posh crafts really took the guest by surprise.

This is a preview of what to expect in our Paper to Petal Workshop 2 where we will focus on Holiday Dinner Craft setting. Watch out for it and we hope you will be able to join us.

If we were able to make you ooh and aahh with these crafts do share the oohs and aahs by liking us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram #ohjoyandco
