It is a party indeed. One that took 6 months to plan. From concept to execution of every detail.
Before you start thinking that this is looking like a frozen theme party, you will be surprise that it is actual a Ninjago theme party where the hero is Zane the Ice Ninja. Not all parties with snow has to be Frozen inspired. :)
This party does not have the usual clown/s, no magicians in funny costumes, no puppet show, no wall of fame, no picture booth and no frozen costume birthday celebrant coming out of the stage singing "Let it go..."
A little boy's imagination of how he saw ICE everywhere on his birthday. A fan of Zane Ninja of Ice. We sat down and listened to this little boy's stories of Zane's battles and how he was a great ninja - this was definitely not a typical children's party. And this is how we got our inspiration on how to put all the details together.
Ah...the Cake, always the star of any party. A naked cake which was perfectly looking like it just snowed. Macaron cookies dressed the cake with hand painted Zane the Ice Ninja. The cake was dressed on the base with icicles made of white fondant and glazed with sparking dust. Oh since the Ninjago is known for their spinjitzu powers he wanted the cake to turn. And we did. This cake was turning while displayed at the party.
(Cake was made by OJC together with our food artist)
The Seating Cards - Small silver and white frames hand made pottery. Each name written in calligraphy.
The Giveaway - drinking glass looked like ice with hand crafted glittering specialty paper + lego chocolate and marshmallows packed inside each glass.
Each paper flower was hand crafted by the OJC team. Yes all 90 pieces of them. We were busy!
Custom cut napkin holders. We use specialty foiled papers and cut them in the shape of snowflakes and the center of each napkin holder is the different Ninja weapons use by Zane the Ice Ninja.
The Centerpiece (for 10 tables) - Paper made life size icicles coming out of the table. Ice like flowers to soften the ice centerpiece. And we did not forget the Menu card on each table which is also crafted with paper icicles and covered with crystals. And just look how the guest reacted to our centerpiece! Flowering picking and we looooovvvve it!
The sweet and icy Dessert Buffet. Any kid or a kid at heart will find these desserts a sweet haven.
We did build Zane out of cartons and paper. And painted it.
Beats buying the lego and making it this big!
Playing Cards where hanged all over the silver trees that line the whole venue with floating ballon and icicles hang off them.
The Lab. - Kids gathered to do kid's craft. Lava Lamp. Egg in the bottle. Crystal making. Playing Cards got the kids working together and using their math skills. Bubble worm.
Mother's got to craft too. Spa Crystals.
The party ended with the tune of Happy song by Pharrell Williams.
(definitely not with the Frozen song)
