Paper to Petals Workshop

What a FUN! FUN! FUN! Crafting day! Thank you for all the crafters who came during our Paper to Petals Workshop. It was great to see creative crafters of all ages come together and just CRAFT! We prepared a craft set packet to welcome each crafter.
Now we know it was a Saturday weekend and we had to start at ten in the morning. Weekends are sleep in days so we made sure each one had a Starbucks coffee to get everyone going before anything started. (Oh! for the younger crafters a chocolate drink.) :)

The workshop started crafters with an easy Orchid floral craft. Just to get each crafter warmed up and comfortable. Get to know their kits and where all the crafting materials where.

It did not take long for each crafter to get warmed up because it seems like each one was eager to get started! The Orchid card seems like such a "piece-of-cake" to all these wonderful crafters! So it did not take long to each one working on a more challenging craft - the paper flower garland.

Took a while for each crafter to finish but voila! Take a look at that!

Phew! We went on break and we got ready to start with our most challenging craft of the day.
The delicate peony flower. We started by practicing how to wrap the floral wire with floral tape. Something that takes a bit of practice if you don't use this in your craft all the time.

We were so proud of our elder crafter. She was amazing!
Crafting is Great for your Brain, so it is great to keep at it as we age!

Cut...cut...cut...snip...snip...snip is all we hear now. Each crafter is busy as a bee!

After all the cutting we start to build our flower.

We think the pink ones came out gorgeous!

Of course we did not end the workshop with out picking the best craft of the day.
Check out the flower hand crafted by the best crafter for the day!

We have to thank The Grove by Rockwell for the support they gave for this workshop. We were happy to reach out and spend half a day with this wonderful community.
