Wreath Inspiration

Something rustic. Something handmade. Something simple. Nothing new. Purely recycled.

There is just something with a WREATH hanging at the entrance of the door that just makes each home so welcoming.
A simple circular basket  ("bilao" as we call in Filipino) wrapped with random twine to fill inside the ring. The wooden "bilao" ring is then wrapped in Christmas garland (which we have used over and over every Christmas).
Decorated with simple denim ribbons and a hand-made cut out of "Ho! ho! ho!" painted in gold.

Sandman's Wreath

Dream again with Sandman from Rise of the Guardians. How about setting up a Sandman wreath for Christmas for the kids to enjoy? Here’s how we made ours...

First, we printed out a sandman photo and traced lines with glitter glue to give it a dreamy effect. Then we moved on to the next steps while waiting for the glue to dry.

To build the wreath, we twirled a long plastic garland until it formed a nice circle, then twirled LED Christmas lights around the wreath.

After the glue has dried, we placed the Sandman photo inside the wreath.

We also placed bronze ornaments to add more shine and a more sandy effect.

And this is what Sandman's magic looks like!
